Workshop co-created with La petite ourse

Shooting Stars will invite 30 artists & youth workers from Bulgaria, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Turkey to explore current societal challenges together through audiovisual media. Set in a medieval location, Shooting Stars is a unique opportunity to experiment, create and present personal stories at the crossroads of local communities and an international audience. A transformative experience of cohabitation and co-creation that starts here!

You are a creative, educator, social worker, youth worker, trainer? You want to expand your toolbox? Engage in social and cultural projects ? You would love to experience co-living in a creative laboratory with fellows coming from Europe and the world?

Shooting Stars is for you then!

Shooting Stars explores an innovative learning method channelling emotional intelligence to foster personal engagement in social and cultural initiatives through audio-visual tools.

It is a training. You will explore the use of digital tools and collective art to better self-express and engage in creative advocacy. You will learn from yourself, others and our trainer team. During the process you will experience a set of knowledge and tools related to storytelling, to get your artistic message across. Then you’ll help youth audiences in your local community to do the same!

It is an art residency. You’ll be hosted in a creative medieval village to research, question, develop and confront your art vision and practices with trainers and participants. The aim will be to gradually merge your personal narrative and experience into
a local and international event.

At the end of the residency-training, your work will be shown in an event yearly held by the local community and usually gathering thousands of visitors: Surprisologis.

Our methodology is based on experiential learning (learn by doing it!), interdisciplinary exchange (widen your panel of knowledge!) emotional and collective intelligence, outdoor education and non-formal education principles!

Participants will learn through testing designed methods and reflecting upon the experience. Using a participatory approach, we encourage the exchange of experience between the participants and with the local community, fostering peer learning.

We are looking for diverse participants profiles to foster co-learning and enrich everyone’s projects with the expertise and perspective of others, to help you develop mesmerising projects!

Mornings will be dedicated to collective training.
Afternoons will be time to develop your projects, personal or collective creations ; to exchange about your project evolution in peer groups, sometimes in plenary ; to consult individually with Shooting Stars trainers and/or to join technical workshops to enrich your practice.
Evenings will be open for participants willing to propose activities to each other.
